Dr. Vishwapati Trivedi took charge as Chairman, National Shipping Board, on 1st December, 2014. Prior to this he was Secretary, Ministry of Shipping from July 2013 to November 2014. He was also the Chairman of Inland Waterways Authority of India from September, 2012 to June 30, 2013. He also held charge of Secretary, Ministry of Mines for a brief period from November 2011. Dr. Vishwapati Trivedi has held the post of Special Secretary/Additional Secretary in Ministry of Home Affairs. Dr. Trivedi was also Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Airlines till it was merged with Air India. After that he was Joint Chairman of Air India. He was Joint Secretary in Deptt. of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry in 2005. Dr. Trivedi held some very important posts in the State Government of Madhya Pradesh and was Commissioner, Sales Tax and Managing Director of the M.P. Financial Corporation. He was Principal Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Trivedi worked in the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC from 1994 to 1998.

Amitabh Verma, IAS, is the Chairman of Inland Waterways Authority of India. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Science and a Law (LL.B). He also holds M.A in Economics from the University of Manchester and in Political Science from the University of Delhi. Known for his expertise in financial matters Verma earlier served as Joint Secretary Ministry of Finance, Government of India during 2004-2009. Amitabh has more than 5 years of experience in the fields of company affairs and SEBI matters. He served as Chief Compliance Officer and Company Secretary of Housing Development and Infrastructure Limited until November 2, 2007. During his long successful career Amitabh also served as an Advisor to various companies. He also had the opportunity to serve as Director in various banks including National Housing Bank, Canara Bank Ltd, Bank of Baroda, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Bank of India and Export-Import Bank of India.

Ajay Jain, IAS, is the Secretary in the key Infrastructure and Investment Department that will oversee the development of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, among other things. He served as the Director of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. until November 14, 2016. He was Commissioner for AP Technical Education since July 2012 and served as Director at Andhra Pradesh Power Finance Corporation Limited until May 18, 2012. He also served as Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited. Mr. Ajay Jain, served as Chairman and Managing Director for APTRASNCO from July 2009 to June 2012. He served as Managing Director of APGENCO from July 2004 to June 2009, and was District Collector & DM of Kurnool from July 2003 to June 2004. He was the District Collector & DM of Ranga Reddy from July 2000 to June 2003, and was Joint Collector of Land Revenue Mgmt & District Admn of Kurnool from March 1997 to June 2000. He served as Project Director of Planning & Prog Implementation Planning from February 1995 to March 1997 and as SDO (sub divisional officer) of Land Revenue Mgmt & District Admn from July 1993 to January 1995.

M.T. Krishna Babu, a 1993 batch IAS Officer belonging to the Andhra Pradesh cadre, is the Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust taken over in May 2014. He has earlier held the positions of Secretary, infrastructure and Investment Department; Commissioner, GHMC; Chairman, AP Central Power Distribution Co Ltd and Managing Director, Metropolitan Water & Severage Board.

Mr. P.L. Haranadh, a 1993 IRTS Batch officer.The 1966 born Mr. Haranadh, before taking this charges worked as Cargo operational Incharge at South Central Railway, Secunderabad. He was earlier with South Eastern Railway

Ahamedul Karim Chowdhury works as a Terminal Manager in Chittagong Port Authority. At present he is looking after Pangaon Inland Container Terminal, as CEO. His responsibilities are the entire operations and management of the terminal. He began his career with OOCL in 1992 and worked there for almost five years in sales & marketing wing. After that he joined in Chittagong Port Authority as a Terminal Officer in February, 1997. He did Masters in Shipping & Transport with distinction 'cum laude' from the Netherlands Maritime University, Diploma in 'Port, Shipping & Transport Management from International Maritime Transport Academy, Rotterdam.

Mr Kalyan Swaminathan has working experience of 32 years, who takes care of the Travel & Vacations and Logistics businesses of the Company. Prior to his elevation, he was leading the Logistics Infrastructure business of the Company as Chief Operating Officer. He worked with EID Parry (India) Ltd and for a brief period to work with an IT start up in Bangalore as VP (Finance). Mr Swaminathan is a qualified Cost & Management Accountant (ACMA) and a qualified Company Secretary (ACS), has rich experience in business operations and change management, besides financial and cost accounting.

Vinita Venkatesh obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Statistics from the University Of Bombay and went on to study Business Management at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, India’s premier business school, with a specialisation in Marketing Management. A member of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London, Vinita has over 25 years of experience in the shipping industry. Her career comprises tenures with The Shipping Corporation of India, P&O Ports (now part of DP World) and Samsara Group and covers a wide range of specialisations from liner shipping and agency to ports, CFS and autologistics. She has served as the Chennai Coordinator of the India Pakistan and Bangladesh Conference (IPBC) and has been Guest Faculty at the PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore and the National Academy of Customs, Excise & Narcotics (NACEN), Chennai. She is Director on the board of Krishnapatnam Port Container Terminal and steers business development for the port. She has been associated with KPCT for the last 2 years. Vinita is happily married to Venkatesh, an alumnus of IIT Chennai and IIM Ahmedabad, and they are blessed with two daughters.

G. Chandrashekhar is the Economic Advisor to IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Apart from writing for India’s most credible business daily for two decades (The Hindu Business Line) and providing policy inputs for the government, he has been speaking regularly at national and international conferences on a range of topics including Indian macro-economy, food and nutrition security, role of technology in agriculture, agri-infrastructure, commodities market outlook and so on. He has been part of several government appointed committees and is closely associated with international bodies including Global Pulse Confederation (Dubai), US Soybean Export Council (USA), Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Association, McGill Centre for Convergence of Health and Economics (Canada), ICRISAT and so on. Syed Abdul Rahman, IRTS of 2001 Civil Services batch, has done double Masters in Transport Economics and Transport Planning from the University of Leeds, UK. Besides that he is M.Phil in French Literature. He was awarded Jubilee Scholarship by the UK Government in 2012 and he subsequently got CH2M HILL award for best academic performance by the U.S. Consultancy firm. In Indian Railways he has been in-charge of operations of important divisions of South Eastern Railway and worked as Deputy Chief Operations Manager (Planning and Project) in South Eastern Railway before joining CONCOR as the Senior General Manager of the Eastern Region.

Mr. Jayyannt Lapsiaa is the President of the All India Liquid Bulk Importers & Exporters Association for over 18 years. He has been successfully handling the issues related to the Import and Export of the liquid bulk commodity. His major achievements include providing important inputs for formation of procedures and policies on edible oils and other liquid bulk cargoes in Mumbai and JNPT customs since 1985, organizing a very meaningful and highly reciprocative meet for the high ranking custom officials with liquid bulk trade once a year. This has been widely acclaimed by one and all, helped Mumbai and JNPT customs in organizing various seminars on self-assessment and also on A.E.O. He was conferred with a special award by m/s. TEFLA’s at the International Globoil Conference at Goa in 2016 for immense contribution to liquid bulk trade. This award was conferred by hon’ble union minister for civil supplies shri Ram Vilas Paswan.

A Post Graduate in Science, started his career as a Marketing Professional in ITC Ltd. Later moved on to the Coir Industry and was the CEO of William Goodacre & Sons India Ltd., an Export House of coir products. With an experience of over 25 years in the floor covering industry is Member of the various committees of the Coir Board and the National Jute Board of the Govt. of India. Also is a member of the Coir Industrial Relations Committee of the Govt. of Kerala. Past Chairman of the Travancore Chamber of Commerce & Industries and the past President of the Coir Shippers Council. Currently serving as the Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Coir Exporters Associations (FICEA) & the Member Secretary of the Jute Shippers Council.

Anand Venkateswaran, heads the Logistics team (Outbound) for both Domestic & Exports and is in charge of the Finished Vehicle Logistics in the capacity of a Senior General Manager at hyundai Motors. He has worked in various capacities in the Supply Chain function for over 18 years with Hyundai Motors. His earlier assignment was with M/s Tata Motors, where he worked for over 16 years before joining M/s Hyundai Motors in 1998, as their Regional Sales Manager (Southern Region).
